Caitlin Moran – How to be Famous
26th June 2018 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm
BSL Interpreted Event
BSL Interpreters – Tracey Tyer and Peter Abraham
Inimitable comedian Caitlin Moran dives into a hilarious and thought-provoking discussion of all things famous in this laugh-out-loud event.
She talks about who the best famous people are and how to deal with it when they’re ‘problematic’; the video to Charlie XCX’s ‘Boys’; why the stone Rihanna keeps gaining and losing is awesome and normal; why ‘bad boys’ have had their day; how to tell if it was just ‘a regrettable shag’, or #metoo; #timesup; the forthcoming film of How to Build A Girl, and why we’re on the verge of a Lady Revolution.
There’s no Glastonbury this year, so Moran thought she’d put on her own version. Join in this subversive and delightful take on the best bits of the festival – dress up, gather with like-minded people, and spend the evening laughing, drinking and having thought-provoking discussions about how to change the world.
A copy of Caitlin Moran’s new book How to Be Famous is included with every ticket, and the author is signing books after the event – interpreters will be available for this.
