The Booker Prize is a byword for the finest literary fiction; its roll of shortlisted and winning authors contains some of the greatest writers since 1969.
On the eve of the announcement of the 2019 winner, join this year’s shortlisted authors for an evening of readings and conversation around their novels. The winner of the Booker Prize is announced on Monday 14 October.
Margaret Atwood’s The Testaments, Lucy Ellmann’s Ducks, Newburyport, Bernardine Evaristo’s Girl, Woman, Other, Chigozie Obioma’s An Orchestra of Minorities, Salman Rushdie’s Quichotte, and Elif Shafak’s 10 Minutes 38 Seconds in This Strange World have been announced as the six books shortlisted for the 2019 Booker Prize for Fiction.
The 2019 Booker Prize for Fiction is chaired by Natalie Haynes and the judges are Afua Hirsch, Liz Calder, Xiaolu Guo and Joanna MacGregor.
